That's the San Francisco-Oakland Bay bridge looming above us and shown in red on the Garmin's screen. That's fine, but the unit appears to be telling us to drive right into the water. (Click to see bigger and in more detail.) Since we didn't have a boat/car combo, we decided to use the on-ramp from Fremont via Folsom.
