The kids are supposed to wear their shirts tomorrow for spirit day. Three of them couldn't wait for tomorrow and wore them tonight. One of the mothers, herself a Design Entrepreneur (DE), said we should have all the kids at the school make one for the spring jog-a-thon fundraiser. (See what her family-owned business makes right here near LA.)
Another second grade teacher wants her class to tie-dye as well. Hmm, my back is killing me from hauling the buckets full of ziploc baggies, shirts and solutions. I better write up a project sheet for the teachers and helpers. When I get around to it, I will post it here as well .
Beautiful! A great idea! It was probably a lot of work for you, but I'm sure it was a lot of fun for the students and their teachers.
ReplyDeleteSadly, the shirts are too small for a couple of the larger kids in the class. I bought size 6-8 Hanes Beefy-Ts for the whole class. It was roomy enough for Iris, but I forgot that she is the youngest in the class.
ReplyDeleteLive and learn. The next class will be able to plan better.
