Fall 2010 Fashion
Cathy Horyn of the NY Times says that The Big New Idea is Modesty, as evident by the outfits shown here in NY Fashion Week. (But, if these are the Fall/Winter collections, why doesn't the evening gown have sleeves?)
In Milan, women go to work without pants
or tranparent skirts.
It evokes that cliche nightmare when you give your important presentation and then realize you forgot to put on pants that morning.

Lack of diversity among the pantless set? I'm sure I don't know what you're talking about, BadMom. I clearly see bonds, redheads AND brunettes represented on that runway.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, your fashion post reminds me that I've been working up my nerve to do a "what the smartly dressed Bangalore engineer is wearing" post, over at BangaloreSabbatical. To make it work, I'll have to go up to random men and women in their cubicles where I work and see if they're willing to stand up and have me snap their photo for a blog.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to see non-alien, human sized creatures on the runway. Those super tall, amazingly pale creatures are obviously moonlighting lizard creatures from the V television series
