Pick a button

But which one?  Discuss.
 So many choices.
 Guess where I went yesterday?
My absolute fave.  I'd take it home if I could.
Run, don't walk.  See it.

  1. The top button!

  2. Top or middle button, I'd say. Both match the button band really well but I think the colour of the middle one is closer to that of the stripes in the other fabric.

P.S. Thank you for the nice comment on my raglan sleeve top. I should have mentioned that I'm very happy with the colour combination but the way you put it was much more poetic.

  3. I like the top one - it plays well with the fabric without being too noticeable. However, I also like the square one - in case the buttons decide to take the stage. (is that proper English? not sure, but I think you know what I mean).

  4. Contrary: vote for the bottom. The lines echo the lines of the fabric and the color is pretty good. - Heather

  5. Thanks for the help.

In the light of morning, I realized that the top 2 buttons have color variations. I selected the four darkest among the middle type so they are between 1 and 2 in color value, but more plum than purple.

I'm wearing the shirt as I type. It's been years since I made a real shirt (with flat-felled seams, yoke, band, etc). It takes more time than a t-shirt, but I get a lot of satisfaction from doing something a bit more difficult. Full review to come.

    1. Thanks for the concern. The quake was at the other end of this very large state.
